Wolfson Campus Offers Free Health Certifications

The Miami Dade College Student Wellness Department and Jewish Community Services will be offering free Mental Health First Aid Certification at Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. 2nd Ave., Room 7128 on April 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The nationally recognized certification usually costs $150.

The certification will teach MDC students and staff how to identify, understand and refer people with mental health concerns over to peer and professional support. Attendees will also learn about suicide prevention and substance use disorders. The day will be interactive and include videos and discussions.

Space is limited and must be reserved.
