Miambiance Wins Silver Crown Award

Traveling, Volume 26 of Miambiance, the Kendall Campus’ creative arts magazine, took home the Silver Crown Award for magazines from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association at the College Media Association conference held in New York from March 11-14.

The Crown Awards honor overall excellence in student publications, including design, photography, concept, coverage and writing.

The magazine began publishing 26 years ago and has since won more than  400 awards.

Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis from credit and noncredit students. The next deadline is Nov. 30. Students can pick up and drop off submission forms in Room 2217 at Kendall Campus.  

“Everyone is welcome to showcase their talent,” said Rita Fernandez-Sterling, co-advisor for the magazine. “No matter your background, the only requirements are a love and passion for the arts.”
