Family Fun: Joan Soriano (center) performs alongside his band, “Los Candes,” which consists of his younger brothers and sisters, at the Koubek Center as part of an MDC Live Arts show which took place on Jan. 29. Soriano blends bachata, a staple of Dominican culture, with Afro-Dominican sacred traditions, through his music with down to earth spirit and dance.
