Save The Last Dance: For the finale of the Miami Dade College's 16th annual IFE-ILE Afro-Cuban dance festival, dancers Julio Reyes, Junier Quintero, and Siuleide Rivera brought their advisor and choreographer, Neri Torres, on stage for a final dance party. Then the male dancers jumped off stage and urged the audience to participate in the dance party. The group had the audience up and dancing in no time and even initiated the Cuban dance known as "Comparsa," which is known in America as the conga line. The fast-paced festive piece brought joy to many in the room. The lab was geared toward local artists in dance and music performance among other art forms. This year, the multidisciplinary performer, Baba Israel, conducted the labs.
