Lorraine Wright has been selected as the new Student Life Director at North Campus. She started on July 3.

“I am excited and honored to serve in a role where I work directly with students,” Wright said. “As an alumni of MDC, I understand the needs of the students from [the position] of a student leader as well as a professional.”

She has served in many positions at the College. Her previous post were clerk, student programming board member, S.A.V.E textbook rental program coordinator, student life specialist and program coordinator for Educate Tomorrow at Single Stop.

Wright got an associate in arts degree in criminal justice and a bachelor’s degree in supervision and management from Miami Dade College. She later earned a master’s degree in criminal justice administration from Florida International University.

“I am truly blessed to have this opportunity to serve the student body in such a rewarding capacity,” Wright said. “I believe through Student Life, opportunities are given to students that aims [sic] to truly change their lives. I am a product of those life changing opportunities and experiences.”
