ACCESS To Host ASL Poetry Slam At Kendall Campus

Kendall Campus’ ACCESS Disability Services will host an American Sign Language Poetry Slam on Oct. 17 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. located at 11011 S.W. 104th St. in the building 2 breezeway.

The ASL Poetry Slam will feature poems and signed word pieces performed by students.

“The American Sign Language Poetry Slam is an event that provides a platform for students who are deaf, along with those learning the language, to perform a variety of pieces in ASL,” said Mercy Macrina, director of ACCESS.

The event is free and open to the public.
