A New America: The art gallery at the Freedom Tower showcased the exhibit titled “By The People: Designing a Better America” which was organized by Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian American Design Museum. The exhibit, which ran through Sept. 30, explored the challenges urban and rural communities in the United States face.

The Buck Stops Here: Susan Peterson, an adjunct professor at Miami Dade College, speaks to a cameraman regarding adjunct professors right to unionize in hopes that they receive better pay and benefits. Flow With The Music: Members of the Ameyal Mexican Cultural Organization Dance Company perform a traditional Mexican Dance during the Mexican Independence Day celebrations at Kendall Campus on Sept. 15. The word “ameyal” means “spring water” in Nahuatal and it is through their dance that the women seek to mimic those same actions.
