New Student Center Tabs Director At North Campus

Kesia Vazquez, who currently serves as the director of retention and transition services at Wolfson Campus, has been selected as the director of the New Student Center at North Campus.   

She began her new post on Nov. 12. 

Vazquez will be in charge of helping students familiarize themselves with college and conduct orientation sessions.  

She previously worked at North Campus in multiple capacities such as director of ACCESS Services as well as positions in the New Student Center and Testing. She was the first program coordinator of the Single Stop mentoring program at North Campus and is a licensed social worker.

“It’s truly an honor to serve at the North Campus where it all started for me,” Vazquez said. “I am looking forward to working alongside my team to continue moving forward the vision of the North Campus and its stakeholders.”

Vazquez has an associate’s degree from Miami Dade College, as well as a bachelor’s and master’s in social work, both from Florida International University. She is currently working on a doctorate degree in conflict analysis and resolution at Nova Southeastern University.
