The Museum of Art + Design Presents Steven and William Ladd: Mary Queen of the Universe

The Miami Dade College Museum of Art + Design at the Freedom Tower, located at 600 Biscayne Blvd, will showcase an exhibition by Steven and William Ladd: Mary Queen of the Universe opening Dec. 2 through March 27.

New York based artists and brothers, Steven and William Ladd, have been collaborating since 2000. Works include sculptures, drawings, and performance pieces, organized by the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, NY. The exhibition at MOAD continues their trend of creating works based on their childhood.

Towers of stacked boxes are displayed as landscaped grids on the walls and floor, one of which, Faith, is thoroughly transformed in a rhythmic performance. In conjunction with this exhibition, Steven and William will bring their community engagement program, Scrollathon®, to the Miami area, working with 1,000 school children and disabled adults.

The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 12 to 8 p.m. Admission is free.

For more information about the brothers and their exhibition visit them online or contact the MDC Museum of Art+Design at 305-237-7700 or email at museum@mdc.edu.
