Shane Johnson, a student-centered administrator with admissions, recruiting, and programming experience from Nova Southeastern University, has been selected as the new Honors College Director at North Campus.
Johnson has also worked in the business sector as a senior operations manager where he managed human resources, logistics and administration. A South Florida native, Johnson served in the Enrollment and Student Services Office of Undergraduate Admissions at NSU where he also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and his master’s degree in business administration.
“I know what students are going through,” Johnson said. “I know the life cycle of a student and I am here to help them.”
Johnson said that under his guidance he will assure that students achieve academic success at MDC and transfer to their dream schools upon matriculation.
“I really believe in students having the opportunity to challenge themselves to take up other opportunities,” Johnson said.
