Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar To Discuss Her Role In Politics

The Women’s Committee at Kendall Campus will be hosting a discussion with Congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar, a Miami Dade College alumni who represents the 27th congressional district. 

The event will take place remotely on March 17 from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. via Zoom. To sign up, go to this link. The event seeks to teach students how to get involved in the world of politics.

Salazar will talk about her journey and struggles as a woman in politics. She will also touch upon the role she plays in the Republican party and how she overcame challenges as the daughter of immigrants.
