Rosalynde Fenner has been appointed as the new chair for Miami Dade College’s School of Justice.
Fenner, who started her position on Jan. 4, will oversee all faculty and staff at the SOJ. She will also manage day-to-day operations in the department.
“I’m feeling pretty good and confident because of my past experience that I [can] perform well in my new assignment,” she said.
Fenner worked as a supervisory special agent in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Drug Enforcement Administration for 25 years. She then became an assistant professor at Saint Augustine’s University in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she has worked for the past four years.
She graduated from Saint Augustine’s University in 1985 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. Thirteen years later, she received a master’s degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Fenner received a doctorate degree from Grand Canyon University last year.
