Study Abroad Scholarship Deadline Quickly Approaches

The deadline for the Boren Scholarship, a scholarship awarded to scholars to study abroad, is set for February 5 at 5 p.m.

The money provides undergraduate American students to study in underrepresented regions that are of high American interest, such as Africa and the Middle East.

Boren Scholarships vary based on the length of the program selected by the student, ranging from $8,000 for a semester to $20,000 for a full academic year.

Applicants must complete the Boren Scholarship application and collect letters of reference and transcripts from all colleges and universities attended.

To be eligible, the student must be a U.S. citizen, a high school graduate, or have earned a GED, and have matriculated in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university in the U.S.
