Summer STEM Research Institute Accepting Applications

The Miami Dade College School of Science’s Summer 2023 STEM Research Institute is accepting applications until March 31. 

Applicants will have the opportunity to perform undergraduate research work and participate in networking, career exploration and personal development workshops. 

The internship takes place from May 15 to Aug. 18. Research sites include Miami Dade College, the University of Miami, St. Thomas University, the American Heart Association and Florida International University. 

Eligible applicants must be United States citizens or permanent residents, have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be STEM degree-seeking students with at least six credits in their discipline.

Gomez, who graduated from Robert Morgan Educational Center in 2021, will serve as editor-in-chief, briefing editor and forum editor for The Reporter during the 2022-2023 school year. He aspires to become a social sciences professor.
