Live Arts Miami To Feature BLOOM! By SWAY At Miami Book Fair

Traveling theater and dance act BLOOM! by SWAY will perform for Live Arts Miami during the Book Fair from Nov 17-19.

The performances will take place in Kyriakides Plaza at Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. 2nd Ave. from 10 a.m. through 7 p.m. Each act will range from 17 to 20 minutes.

BLOOM! is a theatrical production established by SWAY in Melbourne, Australia in 1994 that features aerial acrobats dressed as flowers performing atop 15-foot flexible rubber poles. The company has toured more than 40 countries.

The act, BLOOM!’s first performance for Live Arts Miami at Wolfson Campus, hopes to deliver a family-friendly spectacle about nature and the world around us.

“I think it’s about inspiring wonder.” said Kathyrn Garcia, the director of Live Arts Miami. “Maybe we’ll look at flowers a bit differently after we’ve seen these massive representations of them in the air.”

Admission to the event is $10 at the gate on Nov. 18- 19 but will include a free admission on  Nov. 17. For more information, contact liveartsmiami@mdc.edu or call (305)-237-3010.
