Miami Book Fair Selects 2025 Poster Winner

The Miami Book Fair selected New World School of the Arts graphic design student Ian Teresa-Calleja’s artwork for its 2025 poster

This year’s fair will take place Nov. 16-23 at Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. Second Ave.

Teresa-Calleja’s art deco-esque illustration features four books representing buildings under construction in Downtown Miami, surrounded by scaffoldings, ladders and a crane.

“The idea was to find something that people associate with Miami and would find relatable,” Teresa-Calleja said. “Construction has such a major presence down here… it’s not just a presence; it’s a nuisance, but there’s also the symbolic element of it.”

This summer, the 21-year-old is interning with Jazwares, a toy manufacturing company, where he designs their packaging. He is on track to graduate from NWSA next spring.
