National Heroes: The Marine Corps War Memorial is a statue in Arlington, Virginia dedicated to the service and sacrifice of the United States Marine Corps. It depicts six U.S. Marines raising the American flag on Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima in World War II.
