Mikailo Kasha And Dayna Stephens To Perform At Jazz At Wolfson Presents
Composer Mikailo Kasha and saxophonist Dayna Stephens will perform at Jazz at Wolfson Presents on Dec. 3 at the Wolfson Campus auditorium, 300 N.E. Second Ave., in Room 1261 at noon.
Kasha is the executive director of the Miami Jazz Cooperative, faculty at the Stanford Jazz Workshop and leads Miami Country Day School’s Honors Jazz Combo.
He has a bachelor’s degree in music from Florida State University and master’s degree in jazz performance from the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music.
Stephens teaches at Manhattan School of Music and William Paterson University and currently plays in a working trio with Kasha.
The 47-year-old is an alumnus of the now-defunct Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz. He also attended the Berklee College of Music.
Jazz at Wolfson Presents is an annual live music series at Miami Dade College aimed at honoring the art form of jazz.
This year, the event will run through April 15. All concerts are free and open to the public and livestreamed.
