Miami Dade College’s West Campus is hosting American Abstractions 2026, an exhibition that explores the legacy of Abstract Expressionism and honors the 250th anniversary of the United States.
The exhibition is directed by Emilio Héctor Rodriguez, the founder and artistic director of 7 Plus One Art Project, and is curated by Cuban-American Pedro Hernandez. It serves as a reflection of the American legacy through the work of Miami-based artists.
Featured artists include Maruchi Carmona, Blanca Caraballo, Bibiana Cervantes, Ivonne Ferrer, Sandra Garcia-Pardo, Carlos Llanes, Mila Hajjar, Pedro Hernandez, Beatriz Ramirez, Emilio Héctor Rodríguez, Marilyn Valiente and Carmen Verdura.
American Abstractions 2026 will be on display at the West Campus Gallery, 3800 NW 115th Ave., Room 1105 through Sept. 4. It’s open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
