Jose Suarez was appointed as director of recruitment at the New Student Center in Wolfson Campus on June 29.
Suarez will oversee recruitment efforts and analyze enrollment trends. He will work with academic departments, local high schools and community partners to strengthen outreach.
“My role is about understanding the data, developing effective strategies and building strong relationships,” Suarez said.
The 31-year-old began working at the college in January of 2023 as an academic advisor and adjunct professor in the School of Social Sciences. He was promoted to program manager at the School of Continuing Education at North Campus in April of 2024.
Before Miami Dade College, Suarez worked at Florida National University for seven years as supervisor of recruitment and as an international student advisor.
Suarez has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in health care management from FNU.
“We want students to leave the new Student Center feeling welcomed, informed and confident,” Suarez said.
