Latin Grammys Spice Up Sin City

Ten seconds until show time: the celebrities are busy taking their seats while the crowd is abuzz at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas for a night full of stars from across the world, representing an assortment of musical genres for every music lover.

The lights dimmed and rapper Pitbull appeared on stage performing “Don’t Stop The Party” in a white and red suit surrounded by 40 or so gorgeous women dancing sensually to the rhythm of Mr. 305. Undoubtedly, it was the perfect way to start an outstanding show and get the audience ready for an unforgettable night.

The always-beautiful Lucero and the actor Cristián de la Fuente hosted the 13th annual Latin Grammys with great chemistry and some too-hot-for-camera moments that made the audience on site and at home blush.

The first award of the night was for a duet that swept the night with four wins, Jesse & Joy with the song “Corre”a hit they performed later in the showcaptivating a raucous audience with such a sweet voice.

The Venezuelan duet Chino y Nachoalong with model Debora del Corralpresented the second award of the night for “Mejor Album Vocal Pop Tradicional” which ended up going to the always charming Spanish vocalist David Bisbal, who also performed “Llorare las Penas” accompanied by Le Reve in an aquatic presentation that refreshed the audience, particularly some of the fans in the first row.

Other notable presentations that filled the night with magic and talent included a performance by Grammy winner Juanes accompanied by the legendary guitar chords of Carlos Santana with their song “Fijate Bien”, reminding us that in order to get to the top you must put your best into all you do.

The Latin Grammy stage brought spectators some Brazilian flavor when the charismatic singer Michel Telo performed his worldwide hit “Ai se eutepego” with a special twist provided by the renowned Blue Man Group.

The Latin Grammy audience was offered an unexpectedly new musical pairing with the performance of an interesting version of “Party Rock” by LMFAO singer Sky Blue accompanied by 3BallMTY, the winner of the night for best new artist.

Alejandro Sanz brought the romantic touch to the night singing “No Me Compares” with that voice that has been known to make women swoon.

Other great moments at the gala included a performance by the prince of bachata, Prince Royce, along with Mexican singer-songwriter Joan Sebastian of the hit “Incondicional.”

The most nominated artist of the night, Juan Luis Guerra, also performed his hit “En el Cielo No Hay Hospital” to screaming fans, many of whom were in attendance just to see the merengue star.

The night also saw performances by: Fonseca, Juanes, Juan Magan and also a duet from Spaniard Sergio Dalma and Mexican singer Daniela Romo with the 1980’s hit, “Yo No Te Pido la Luna,”  and Victor Manuel singing “Si tu me Besas”.

Caetano Veloso won the recognition of “Persona del Ano” and Pepe Aguilar and Natalie Cole presented  “Album of the Year” in Spanish.

Not to be overshadowed, Pitbull and Sensato performed “Crazy People” with Sak Noel, closing the night with a bang.
