The Pre-School Lab at Miami Dade College North Campus appointed Yolanda Borroto as its new director.
Borroto, an MDC alumna, will oversee the staff and curriculum, increase parent communication by offering daily reports and monthly calendars, and partner with different schools to share their knowledge.
The pre-school, which has been in place at North Campus for more than 30 years, is located in Building 6. It has more than 100 students ranging from the ages of one through five.
The lab offers courses relating to the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) program.
“It is a very rich and wonderful environment for the children to learn in and one that I am proud to be a part of,” Borroto said.
