MDC Student Off To Germany

Timur Kuzibaev, 22, a political science major from Miami Dade College North Campus, will be headed to Germany soon.

Kuzibaev has been selected for the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) for Young Professionals, a full-year work-study fellowship program with a strong focus on cultural exchange.

The program begins in July and includes two months of intensive German language training in Germany, four months of classroom instruction at a German university or college of applied sciences, and a five-month internship in a career field.

The program is designed primarily for young adults in business, technical, engineering, vocational, and agricultural fields.

Of the 630 people who applied nationwide, Kuzibaev is the only one selected from South Florida.

“I am excited to begin the program and I strongly believe that this experience will help me to develop professionally as well as academically,” Kuzibaev said. “To my fellow MDC colleagues, I would recommend to pursue your dreams and don’t give up.”
