Tower Theater Hosts International Picture Show

Miami Dade College’s Tower Theater, located at 1508 S.W. 8th St., presents Colonel Klieglight’s International Picture Show, a film exhibit that promises a double feature for the price of one. The exhibit will present Wes Anderson’s Rushmore and François Truffaut’s The 400 Blows, on Jan. 20 starting at 8:30 p.m.

The film exhibition, which takes place the third Friday of every month, plays a foreign movie and an American film that are associated in cinematic style or theme.

The Colonel Klieglight night was created by two MDC students, Max Harrison and Roberto Martell III, intending to attract a younger audience. Colonel Klieglight described by Martell as an “eccentric elderly gentleman,” helps the students with the movies they choose.

General admission is $11.50, $7 for MDC students, $9 for senior citizens or students who do not attend MDC. Parking is available behind the theater on 9th Street.
