Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin will discuss their book, Rest in Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin, on Feb. 6 at 6:30 p.m. at Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. 2nd Ave., in Room 1261. The book was published five years after the fatal shooting of their son, Trayvon Martin.

In February of 2012, a then 17-year-old Trayvon Martin was shot by a neighborhood watchman in a Central Florida neighborhood as he was walking home while talking on the phone with a friend.

The book offers an insight into who the teenager was and narrates how the occurrences linked to his case inspired a civil rights battle. It is told using the first-hand accounts of his parents.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Lisa Palley at (305) 642-3132 or lpalley@bellsouth.net
