Agencia EFE Donates More Than 75 Photographs To MDC

Miami Dade College’s Museum of Art + Design (MOA+D) and the Lynn and Louis Wolfson II Florida Moving Image Archives received a major donation of photographs from Agencia EFE, a well-known Spanish-language news agency.

Agencia EFE donated more than 75 photographs from its exhibition, EFE: 75 Years of History: Wars, Triumphs, Disasters, People and Politics, that celebrates the agency’s 75 years.

The photos will be featured on the second floor of MDC’s Museum of Art and Design (MOA+D) located in the Historic Freedom Tower, 600 Biscayne Blvd., in an exhibition that is open to the public on Feb. 18, 2016.

Included in the exhibition will be photographs of historic importance, such as the meeting between Francisco Franco and Adolf Hitler at the start of World War II, Princess Diana and Martin Luther King. The exhibition will also contain photos of Celia Cruz, Cantinflas and Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
