To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the Goldwater Scholars and the Excellence in Education Foundation, is establishing the Goldwater Summer Research Internship.
Applications for the 10-week research program for undergraduate students is open through Nov. 2. Interns will receive $10,500 to cover the internship and internship-related expenses.
The inaugural program will support 20 research positions in chemistry, computer and information sciences, engineering, life sciences, physics, and astronomy.
Applicants must be a college freshman or sophomore, a United States citizen and have permanent residency status.
Students must submit an online application identifying up to two projects that they would like to be considered for. Winners will be notified by Jan. 15, 2027.
