Peer Academic Leadership provide STEM tutoring and resources for students, facilitate group-tutoring sessions and assist MDC faculty in organizing class curriculum.

“In my experience, students selected usually have a genuine interest in helping their peers succeed in courses and learn the material,” said Monica Minchala, program director for ARCOS.

This program is part of the Accelerate, Retain, Complete with Opportunities and Support program at Miami Dade College, which develops training and resources to assist students in STEM courses.

The application can be found at www.mdc.edu/arcos/documents/PAL-Application.pdf. A physical copy of the application must be turned into the Wolfson Campus ARCOS office in Room 1501.
