Beta Pi Theta To Be Featured In 2022 Phi Theta Kappa Civic Scholar Journal

The Honors Society at Hialeah CampusBeta Pi Theta—will be featured in the 2022 Phi Theta Kappa Civic Scholar Journal.

This year’s Civic Scholar Journal will feature 18 articles and will be published in September. The publication spotlights Honors in Action projects conducted by different PTK chapters.

“This is our first time being a part of the Civic Scholar Journal,” said Kelly Everett, co-advisor for Beta Pi Theta.

Beta Pi Theta’s project, “Understanding Climate Change and Food Security: What Role Do We Play?,” tackled the theme of natural and constructed environments. Inspired by climate change and food insecurity concerns, the project’s research determined that climate change contributed negatively to food scarcity in the Hialeah community.
