Beyonce’s Renaissance Showcases The Importance Of Self-Love

Beyonce’s seventh studio album, Renaissance, was released on July 29.

The album, which has received worldwide praise, comes after a long hiatus for the popstar, whose previous project was 2016’s Lemonade

After the artist’s stint as a philanthropist with the film Black is King, fans are ecstatic to see her journey back into music.

Beyonce said her newest album was created to provide a safe and free space through her music. The album does just that, which is the perfect time to relieve the stress society has encountered these past two years.

Beyonce’s future album trilogy sets a high bar with music that makes everyone want to dance. The star uses electronic music to remind fans of the club crowds that existed in the pre-pandemic world.

She also pays homage to how clubs have been safe spaces for the Black and queer communities. With no soft ballads on the album, every song makes you want to dance.

I’M THAT GIRL, the album’s first song, showcases Beyonce reveling in her own beautiful nature. That is a theme that is consistent throughout the album.

The artist also uses plenty of samples, such as the 1993 club hit Show Me Love, to pay tribute to the music that helped influence her art.

For Beyonce, history is important to the birth of this new renaissance.

Renaissance also features transgender DJs and Producers Honey Dijon and Ts Madison in the song COZY. The song talks about the importance of having self-respect and determination in our ever-changing world.

Renaissance is a call to action for us to unify in enjoying the surrounding euphoria. Through her voice, Beyonce wants to nurture and heal the wounds of her fans.

And while she may be reaching the twilight of her career, Beyonce proves that she can still offer stellar entertainment and a powerful message.
