Billy Joel, Keller Williams, Among Other Acts Are Headed Down To Play In South Florida

If you’re looking for something to do this month, worry not, for several great entertainers will be coming to sunny South Florida. For those in search of some comic relief, SNL alum and current Late Night host, Seth Meyers, will be at the Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater on Friday, the 23rd of January. On Saturday January 31st, “Piano Man” Billy Joel will be at the American Airlines Arena, where he will likely perform some of his greatest hits like “Vienna” or “Just the Way You Are”, and maybe even more obscure numbers like “Miami 2017.”

One of Downtown Miami’s favorite venues, Grand Central will be hosting several shows including: Catwalk: A Night of Vogue featuring DJ MikeQ on the 24th of January, English death metal veterans Napalm Death on Tuesday the 27th of January, independent label Turquoise Jeep Records on the 30th of January, and Andrew W. K. on the 31st.

Gainesville’s ska punk collective, Less Than Jake, will play at Ft. Lauderdale’s Revolution on February 4th. One-man-band Keller Williams will also play at Revolution on the 24th of January, and the David Bromberg Quintet will play at the Amaturo Theater (Broward Center) on the same date. Amaluna by Cirque du Soleil is currently performing at Sun Life Stadium now through January 25th. K-Pop fans won’t want to miss out on Topp Dogg’s February 7th show at the Fillmore Miami Beach.

If a festival strikes your fancy, Norwegian Pearl will be hosting The Rock Boat XV, which will be going from Miami to Cozumel Mexico from January 24th to the 28th; its lineup features acts such as the Barenaked Ladies, Kris Allen, and Amy Gerhartz. Shiprocked, a similar event, will go from Miami to the Bahamas February 2nd to the 6th; Limp Bizkit, P.O.D., and Chevelle are some of the bands who will be playing on the cruise.
