Civic Chorale Of Greater Miami Hosts Messiah Sing-In Concert

The Civic Chorale of Greater Miami and the Alhambra Orchestra will be hosting the 44th annual Messiah Sing-In on Dec. 13 at 4 p.m. at the First United Method Church of Coral Gables, 536 S.W. 24 St.

The Civic Chorale, made up of sixty Miami Dade College students and members of the community, will perform Handel’s “Messiah” to kick-off the holiday season. The performance will be “accessible, likable, and powerful,” according to this year’s conductor, Kendall Campus music professor, Kenneth Boos.

Admission is free, but an offering plate will be passed around during the event. An open rehearsal will also be held before the event at 2:30 p.m.

Anyone wishing to participate in next year’s sing-in should contact Kenneth Boos at (305) 237-2394.
