Dance Students To Present Voting-Themed Show At Kendall Campus

Kendall Campus, 11011 S.W. 104th St., will host a dance show entitled Vote! on Feb. 25 at 11 a.m. in Room 6120.

There will be a second performance that same evening at 7:30 p.m. in the same location.

As part of this year’s African Americans and the Vote theme, the 45-minute production will analyze how African Americans have been impacted by voting rights throughout history.

“It is essential that communities are educated, fearless and ready to vote,” said Michelle Grant-Murray, dance coordinator and professor at Kendall Campus.

The end of the performance will include a question and answer session between the audience, performers and producers. This year’s show will also feature voter registration engagement booths during both performances.

While the first performance is free, the second showing is $5. Attendees can pay the fee at the door.

For more information, contact Grant-Murray at (305) 237-2638 or mgrantmu@mdc.edu.
