DREAMers Scholarship Open For The 2016-17 Academic Year

DREAMer students can now apply for TheDream.US national scholarship. The deadline to submit the application is March 8, 2017. Aimed to cover tuition, fees, books, supplies and transportation costs, the scholarship covers $25,000 for bachelor’s degree students and half that amount for associate degree enrollees.

Current high school seniors must hold at least a 2.5 GPA and enroll in a degree-granting program at Miami Dade College for the upcoming academic year. Community college graduates must have at least a 3.0 GPA, enroll in a bachelor program in the 2017 fall semester and qualify for in-state tuition cost.

All applicants must be Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals or Temporary Protected Status recipients and demonstrate unmet financial need.

The College is a founding partner of TheDream.US. Miami Dade College has approximately 500 DREAMers enrolled. Every year more than 100 students receive the scholarship.
