Eduardo J. Padrón Completion Scholarship Deadline Is Aug. 16

Students can apply to the recently created Eduardo J. Padrón Completion Scholarship through Aug. 16.

The scholarship, a $1,000 prize, will recognize 50 Miami Dade College students whose academic, social and professional lives have improved while attending the College in the midst of obstacles.

It was made available through a donation from the City of Miami, who awarded $50,000 to the College to honor retiring president Eduardo J. Padrón’s legacy at MDC.

Students must be a U.S Citizen, Miami-Dade County resident, have and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, have completed at least 30 credits toward their degree, have filed their 2019-2020 Free Application for Federal Student Aid and be enrolled in at least 12 credits for the fall and spring semesters.

Applicants must complete a brief questionnaire followed by two short response essay questions.

Winners will be announced through email during the week of Aug. 26. They will be honored at a reception on Sept. 6 at Wolfson Campus.

The screening application is available at:  miamidade.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_87XwOssJIn5qwhn.
