On Feb. 17, the Miami Dade College Medical Campus, 950 NW 20 St., is hosting a trivia contest and a “Fat Tuesday” celebration for students.
The free event will happen in the Atrium area from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Fat Tuesday is more commonly known as Mardi Gras and it gets its name from the custom of marking the day with feasting before the fasting season of Lent begins. Organizers of the event at the Medical Campus will give prizes to students who participate. Light refreshments will be provided.
