FIFA Accepting Volunteer Applications For 2026 World Cup

The International Federation of Association Football is accepting applications for volunteers to help with the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026. 

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, speak English, pass a background check and be eligible to volunteer in their respective host nation. Applications are open until the end of September.

Volunteer opportunities include, participating in the opening ceremonies, offering guidance for event transportation, welcoming fans to the stadium and assisting with performing anti-doping tests on athletes.

The tournament begins on June 11, 2026 and runs through July 19. It will take place in 16 host cities across Canada, Mexico and the United States.

For the first time since 1998, this next World Cup edition has an expanded number of nations participating, going from 32 to 48 teams.
