Miami Dade College’s award-winning newspaper, The Reporter, is looking for students interested in writing, reporting, photography, illustrating and graphic design.

Applicants must be enrolled in at least six credits per semester. To apply, visit mdcthereporter.com/app-form/.

The Reporter covers all eight MDC campuses, and has offices at North Campus, 11380 N.W. 27 Ave., Room 4209; Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. Second Ave., Room 1610; and Kendall Campus, 11011 S.W. 104 St., Room M-239.

It prints on a monthly schedule and has a circulation of 10,250 per print cycle. The publication distributes a bi-weekly digital newsletter, The Hammerhead, and posts content on a website and accounts on Instagram, TikTok and X.

Since being founded in 2010, The Reporter has been named the top two-year student newspaper in the state for 15 consecutive years. 

The paper has earned five National Pacemakers from the Associated Collegiate Press and 222 awards from the Florida College System Publications Association, including 141 first-place honors.
