Fire Science Program Available At The North Campus

Miami Dade College North Campus is providing a fire safety inspector preparation course for its Fire Science Program state certification examination.

The preparation course series is a 208 contact hour accelerated series that prepares students to take the Fire Safety Inspector certification state examination from the Florida State Fire Marshal Office.

The series consists of six courses offered throughout 14 weeks and is available in the evenings from 6 p.m. through 10 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Upon successful completion of the courses and the state certification examination, students will be eligible to apply for positions within governmental agencies and private industry.

Credits from the Fire Safety Inspector Series can also be used to build toward an Associate Degree in Fire Science Technology.
