Four Lady Sharks make All-Conference Team

Four Miami Dade College women’s basketball players were named to the All-Southern Conference Team on March 12.

Kesheria McNeil and Jasmine Burger made the first team while Kiana Morton and Tynes Bradshaw made the second team.

“When I found out, it made me feel good,” said Burger. “I felt that my defense this season helped bring me to this point.”

McNeil, a 5-foot-8 sophomore guard who averaged 19.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.4 rebounds and 3.7 steals per game, also earned honorable mention to the All-State and All-Region 8 team. Burger, a 5-foot-6 freshman guard, averaged 4.3 rebounds a game.

Morton, a 5-foot-11 sophomore guard who averaged 8.5 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game, committed to play at the University of Central Florida this fall. Bradshaw, a 6-foot sophomore forward, averaged 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.

“This is a well deserved honor,” said Lady Sharks coach Susan Summons in a release. “These student athletes have elevated their game by striving to excel on every game, …even overcoming injuries and surgeries.”
