The Small Talk Conversation Club and the Department of World Languages at Wolfson Campus are collaborating to host free weekly Latin Dance classes
Dance sessions kicked off on Oct. 9 in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. They will be held on Fridays from noon to 2 p.m. in Room 2101 in the Student Life Department through Dec. 11.
Students and staff with a Miami Dade College ID are welcome.
Classes will be taught by professional dance instructor, Angely Carucci, an ESOL student at MDC from Venezuela.
The sessions allow participants to learn basic salsa steps, connect with other students, and follow the regular format of Latin Dance lessons.
“Our club brings together non-credit ESOL students and EAP students preparing for further college studies in the United States,” said David Park, President of the MDC Small Talk Conversation Club. “Many already have professional experience in various fields. This class is one example of how our members contribute their talents while continuing their own education.”
