Genetic Test Event At Homestead Campus

The Homestead Campus, located at 500 College Terrace, will host Finding Our Roots, a genetic testing event where students and guests can witness staff and faculty members revealing their ancestry, on Feb. 2 at 11:15 a.m. in building R at Room F-2222. A genealogy scholar will also discuss the results and the process through which genealogy is traced.

“In a time when race seems to separate us, we thought it would be different, enlightening, and fun to figure out our ancestral roots,” said Simeon Richardson, a Homestead Campus English professor.

Admission is free and open to the public. MDC students and employees with decals can park in available campus parking.

For more information, contact Simeon Richardson (305) 237-5246 or srichar1@mdc.edu.
