Miami Dade College’s Ghost Story Contest is accepting submissions for its 2026 edition through Oct. 25.
Stories must be between 600 and 3,000 words and can be written in any language but must include an English translation for readers. The contest is free to enter.
All stories must be submitted to MDCGhoststory@gmail.com. Entrants must include their campus, full name and ten-digit MDCID in the subject line. Winners will be announced on Nov. 16.
“We do this because we want to give the students an opportunity to have a creative outlet that is both fun and educational,” said Kendaly Alvarez, a Learning Resources instructional assistant at Homestead Campus, who created the contest. “We want to show that faculty around the campuses care for their growth.”
