GO GO MOAD! Educates Children On The Arts

The MDC Museum of Art and Design offers free family friendly programs in the educational room of the Freedom Tower, 600 Biscayne Blvd., every third Saturday of the month from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

On Sept. 17, the theme will be color theory, explained by examples of the MDC Permanent Art Collection, through the work of artists like Victor Vasarely, an acclaimed European artist known for his contributions to the optical art movement. Color theory has to do with the experimentation and fusion of primary, secondary and tertiary color.

GO GO MOAD! aspires to provide art education through hands-on activities. The program originated at the MDC art museum and has been running since May of 2014 and is for children between the ages of six and 12 years old.
