Hackathon To Take Place At MDC, May 18-22

Miami Dade College will host the Activate x Wormhole Hackathon from May 18 to the 22 at The Idea Center and the Business Innovation & Technology Center at Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. 2 Ave.

The five-day event will be split into workshops and a hackathon where participants will learn about Web 3, a rapidly growing tech sector. Attendees will also start projects, explore job opportunities and receive mentorship from industry experts. 

Some of the leading blockchain ecosystems that will be present are Polygon, Ethereum, Wormhole, Solana and Near.

MDC students who participate in the event will earn a Ledger Nano S hardware wallet and $100,000 in cryptocurrency. More than $140,000 will be awarded in prizes in the DeFi, NFTs, Metaverse and Infrastructure categories.
