Hialeah Campus Appoints New Public Safety Chief

Jessica Guasto was selected as the Public Safety Chief at Hialeah Campus in May.

Her responsibilities include ensuring the safety of students, staff and visitors to the Hialeah Campus, implementing institutional-wide policies and evaluating risk hazards for the campus.

“I couldn’t be happier to work for an organization that truly honors and celebrates all faculty, staff and students,” Guasto said. “I am overjoyed and humbled to be considered and entrusted to hold the position of Chief/Director of Public Safety.”

Guasto, 31, served as a class platoon leader at the Miami Dade College School of Justice police academy in 2011. That year, she began a decade-long stint as a law enforcement officer and later sergeant for the City of Miami Beach Police Department.
