Hialeah Campus To Host Back-To-School Food And Backpack Drive

Miami Dade College’s Hialeah Campus, 1780 W. 49th St., in partnership with organizations such as Farm Share,  Cricket, Coca Cola and Larkin Hospital, is hosting a food and backpack drive on Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Resources such as school supplies, food and toiletries will be distributed. 

“I think it’s important to give back to the community, to help, because there’s a lot of parents and kids in need…” said Judy Brid, director of campus communication initiatives at Hialeah. 

Attendees can enter through 17th court and park in the garage. Children must be present to receive a backpack.
