Homestead Campus To Host Discussion On Mental Healthcare In The Black Community

The Homestead Campus is hosting the virtual discussion Mental Health and Black Americans on Feb. 16 from 11 am to noon via Microsoft Teams

The event will discuss the structural inequalities in the field of mental healthcare and the generational impacts they’ve caused on Black Americans. The discussion is part of Miami Dade College’s celebration of Black History Month.

It will be led by Ryan Adams-Barton, a psychology professor at Homestead Campus. He is also a certified life coach specializing in holistic wellness and peak performance.

Mental Health and Black Americans is free and open to the public.
