Honors College Selects New Dean

Eric W. Hoffman has been selected as the new dean of The Honors College at Miami Dade College

Hoffman began overseeing the College’s four HC divisions—housed at Wolfson, North, Eduardo J. Padrón and Kendall Campus—on March 23.

“I look forward to working with everyone at MDC, and the broader community to continue The Honors College tradition of excellence and accomplishment,” Hoffman said.

Before MDC, Hoffman served as the founding director of Flagler College’s Honors Program in St. Augustine, Florida for three years.

He has also taught communication courses at several colleges and universities such as Washington State University, Barry University and Lynn University.

After graduating with an associate’s degree from Palm Beach State College, Hoffman received a bachelor’s degree in business communication, a master’s degree in marketing communication and information technology and a doctorate in mass communication—all from Florida State University.
