Jazz At Wolfson Presents Kicks Off Its 24th Season

Miami Dade College’s arts and philosophy department at Wolfson Campus is hosting its 24th season of Jazz at Wolfson Presents from September through April of 2022.

Jazz at Wolfson Presents kicked off its season on Sept. 15 with The Trio (pianist Hal Roland, bassist Jeff Carswell and drummer Steve Rucker). 

The other performances will include B-3 organist Kendall Carter on Oct. 20 at noon, the Wolfson Jazz Ensembles on Nov. 9 at 5:40 p.m., Grammy-nominated pianist Misha Tsiganov on Nov. 10 at noon and flutist and composer Jamie Baum on Dec. 1 at noon. 

In 2022, the Australian-born trumpeter and composer Nadje Noordhuis will continue the series on Jan. 19 at noon, saxophonist and composer Mark Small will present on Feb. 16 at noon, the Wolfson Jazz Ensembles will follow up on March 15 at 5:40 p.m., and internationally recognized saxophonist and composer Jeff Coffin will present on March 16 at noon. The series will culminate with Paul Bollenback’s presentation on April 13 at noon.

Concerts are free and open to the public. They take place in-person at 300 N.E. 2nd Ave. in Room 1261 and are live-streamed

Nicole Molina

Nicole Molina, 18, is a mass communication and political science major in the Honors College at Kendall Campus. Molina, who graduated from Florida Christian School in 2021, will serve as a staff writer for The Reporter during the 2022-2023 school year. She aspires to pursue a career in law.
